We are looking to hire a Specialist, Employee Engagement. The Specialist, Employee Engagement supports the design, planning, management, and execution of Princess Cruises’ employee engagement programs, internal communications, and operational workflows. The role works closely with the Manager, Employee Communications & Engagement and the Employee Communications and Content Specialist to ensure effective, timely, and well-organized programs and communications across shipboard and shoreside teams. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that combines engagement program delivery with operational support to maintain consistent and high-quality communication and employee experiences.

Responsibilities:
Employee Engagement Program Coordination
Responsible for the end-to-end operational development and tactical delivery of company-wide engagement programs and recognition initiatives, ensuring alignment with company culture, values, and goals.
Lead organization, planning, and execution of employee events, including town halls, conferences, recognition ceremonies, team activations, and other shoreside events, managing event budget.
Oversee operational teams in ensuring consistent execution of engagement programs across locations.
Create materials that support engagement efforts and create consistency.
Manage program participation, engagement metrics, and feedback; maintain accurate records and provide reports to leadership.
Develop and distribute engagement materials, toolkits, and event collateral.
Ensure communication and engagement alignment with company culture, values, and goals across all campaigns and programs.
Develop and manage process for ongoing collaboration with Specialist, Crew Care and Fleet Engagement ensuring alignment across shipboard communication and engagement activities.
Internal Communications Support
Coordinate with Leadership to produce company updates and meeting-related content deliverables.
Collaborate with the Employee Communications and Content Specialist to deliver internal communications across email, intranet, digital signage, and other channels.
Oversee content coordination and organization for communication campaigns.
Maintain communication calendars, content pipelines, and distribution lists to ensure accurate targeting and effective reach of engagement communications.
Program & Operations Support
Oversee recurring operational tasks including:
Leading communication and engagement survey logistics, dashboards, and metric tracking.
Administering the distribution and maintenance of recognition programs.
Updating and maintaining distribution lists to support accurate and timely communications.
Organizing shared documentation, templates, and SOPs for programs and operational workflows.
Owning budget tracking, vendor coordination, and resource planning for engagement initiatives.
Owning meeting scheduling, note-taking, and follow-up actions for program-related activities.
Knowledge & Skills:
Problem solving: The Specialist, Employee Engagement anticipates and resolves logistical, scheduling, or resource challenges that arise during the planning and execution of town halls, conferences, recognition events, and other engagement activities. The role will identify gaps in program delivery or inconsistent execution across locations and proactively develops solutions, tools, and workflows to drive uniform engagement experiences and use participation data and feedback trends to diagnose issues in employee engagement programs and implement targeted improvements.
Impact: This position directly influences brand reputation, employee engagement, and retention by supporting company-wide communication and engagement strategies. The position will enhance the employee experience by delivering engagement programs and communication campaigns that reinforce company culture and values across shoreside and shipboard teams. The Specialist will be responsible for strengthening internal communication effectiveness by maintaining accurate distribution lists, streamline content pipelines, and structure communication calendars, ensuring messaging reaches the right employees at the right time.
Leadership: The role will lead projects and manage resources, tools, and timelines for engagement programs and communication campaigns. It involves collaborating closely with design teams, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders to produce high-quality deliverables. The Specialist, Employee Engagement will ensure operational excellence and consistency across all engagement and communication initiatives.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, HR, Organizational Psychology, Business, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in employee engagement, internal communications, or program/operations support.
Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Experience coordinating events and employee engagement programs, ideally across multiple locations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and survey/feedback tools (e.g., Qualtrics).
Experience managing distribution lists or targeted communication groups preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments and locations.
Experience thriving in a complex and global organization.
Highly proficient in project management and planning.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset; able to work cross-functionally with stakeholders in HR, IT, and Operations for other brands.
Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics.
Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient use of resources to achieve project objectives.
Experience supporting internal events, including logistics coordination.
Knowledge of and ability to use the optimal channels, techniques, and tools to communicate information and engage employees.
Travel: No or very little travel likely
Work Conditions:Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Physical Demands:Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, or operations.
This position is classified as “Hybrid.” As a Hybrid role, it requires employees to work from a designated Holland office Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.
