We are looking for an amazing Supervisor, Dance Project to fill this role, which is based in our Fort Lauderdale office. You will be responsible for supervising, teaching, directing, and installing all cast members for their assigned vessels. This role involves supervising daily scheduling for training, coordinating all cast install schedules, mentoring cast members' talent, and providing guidance in protocols and expectations both shoreside and onboard. You will work closely with onboard management and shoreside teams to ensure the smooth operation and high-quality performance of production shows. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in dance and theater production, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse culture.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and Coordination: Creates daily training schedules and coordinates all cast installs with onboard management.                              
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Mentors cast talent and provides guidance in protocols and expectations both shoreside and onboard. Possesses a clear understanding of onboard theatre safety measures.                                                            
  • Consumables Management: Participates in shoe fittings and the distribution of consumables, warehouse inventory, and management.                                                  
  • Compliance and Support: Ensures all shoreside cast visa compliancy and supports all medical, documentation, and payroll issues.                            
  • Cost-saving Approaches: Consistently displays cost-saving approaches in the ordering and distribution of consumable items, travel logistics, and accommodations.                  
  • Archiving and Distribution: Accountable for the archiving of show reference materials and distributes all learning materials as required.                                                            
  • Inventory Monitoring: Monitors in collaboration with the Assistant and Cast Manager all onboard dressing room inventory and ordering of costume replacements and consumable items.                                                                                   

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in dance, Theater, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in dance and theater production.
  • Strong understanding of onboard theatre safety measures.
  • Proven track record of effective mentorship and leadership.          
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in dance and theater production.
  • Experience in supervising and training cast members.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex schedules and manage inventory.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • This position is considered in-office with our Fort Lauderdale office and local dance studios
