We are looking for a Specialist, Casting & Talent Operations. The Specialist, Casting & Talent Operations plays a key role in supporting the recruitment, auditioning, onboarding, and retention of world-class theatrical performers for Princess Cruises' fleetwide entertainment programs. This position supports the casting of dancers, vocalists, aerialists, and specialty performers while helping to deliver an exceptional performer experience throughout the candidate lifecycle.
The Specialist, Casting & Talent Operations serves as an operational and administrative partner to the Manager, Theatrical Casting, supporting global audition efforts, talent sourcing initiatives, onboarding processes, casting systems administration, and talent marketing efforts. The role also acts as a steward of the performer experience, ensuring prospective and returning cast members encounter a professional, engaging, and efficient process from initial application through future rehire opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Casting & Talent Acquisition Support
Support the casting and recruitment of dancers, vocalists, aerialists, and specialty performers for all Princess Cruises theatrical productions and entertainment experiences.
Assist with talent identification, screening, and evaluation processes under the direction of the Manager, Theatrical Casting.
Maintain awareness of industry trends, performer availability, and emerging talent pools to support ongoing recruitment efforts.
Coordinate and support the planning and scheduling of domestic and international audition events.
Facilitate live audition operations, including performer check-in, data collection, registration management, and administrative support.
Performer Experience & Candidate Engagement
Own and continuously improve the overall performer experience throughout the recruitment and casting journey.
Evaluate and enhance candidate touchpoints including career websites, online application processes, audition registration systems, communication workflows, and onboarding materials.
Develop recommendations and initiatives designed to improve candidate engagement, satisfaction, and conversion throughout the casting process.
Serve as a key point of contact for performer inquiries and candidate support throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
Casting Systems & Database Management
Support the Manager, Theatrical Casting in maintaining cast templates and scheduling data within Princess Cruises' casting and workforce planning systems (Airtable).
Lead efforts to modernize and improve the organization's casting database and talent management infrastructure.
Support the integration of casting, onboarding, rehearsal, deployment, and rehire data into a centralized talent management system.
Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and effective management of performer records and casting documentation.
Generate reports and insights to support casting decisions and talent retention initiatives.
Performer Experience & Candidate Engagement

Manage and enhance Princess Cruises' performer-focused social media presence and talent acquisition marketing efforts, primary owner of the Princess Cruises’ Instagram account.
Develop content strategies designed to attract high-quality performers and increase awareness of casting opportunities.
Support employer branding initiatives aimed at positioning Princess Cruises as an employer of choice within the global entertainment industry.
Onboarding & Talent Retention Support
Support onboarding activities for newly hired performers, ensuring a smooth transition from casting to the rehearsal studios and shipboard deployment.
Coordinate onboarding documentation, communication, and administrative requirements in partnership with internal stakeholders.
Assist with initiatives focused on performer retention, rehire opportunities, and long-term talent pipeline development.
Support the maintenance of performer records and historical casting information to facilitate future casting and re-engagement opportunities.
Monitor engagement metrics and identify opportunities to improve recruitment outreach and candidate engagement.
Knowledge & Skills:
Scope: This role is a key contributor to the successful operation of the fleetwide entertainment department and impacts the outcome of smooth and successful production cast contracts. Having complete casts hired and scheduled on time for rehearsals and shipboard deployment ensures the department stays within it's operational and financial obligations. This role will focus on supporting the casting team in ensuring cast members are hired and scheduled accordingly to minimize replacements and delays.
Problem solving: The casting team is responsible for scheduling appropriate talent into the projected cast rotations which requires deep understanding of complementing talent among dancers, singers, and specialty performers, as well as a thorough knowledge of Princess Cruseis' vast show library. The production cast is one of the largest groups of staff within the entertainment team; reacting to the need for replacements and troubleshooting scheduling gaps requires a good foundation of this knowledge.
Impact: This role has an internal impact on the operational continuity of the portfolio of theatrical shows and cast experiences, which are flagship products within entertainment. This role also has an external impact on how perspective talent and agencies within the larger cruise and entertainment industry view and interact with Princess as a brand and potential employer. The role will be tasked with elevating and enhancing the brand's visibility within a highly competitive landscape.
Leadership: Though this role has no direct reports they will regularly interact with hundreds of active cast members and many hundreds more of prospective talent. This individual must be able to represent themselves and Princess Cruises in a room full of dozens of active or perspective staff in a professional and inspiring way.

Essential/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, Performing Arts (Dance, Voice, Theatre, etc.), Entertainment Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in casting, talent acquisition, recruiting, entertainment administration, performing arts management, or related fields.
Experience supporting auditions, performer recruitment, entertainment operations, or talent management programs preferred.
Experience managing databases, applicant tracking systems, or talent management platforms preferred.
Experience with social media management, content creation, or recruitment marketing initiatives preferred.
Experience as a shipboard performer a plus
Essential Experience Required:
Knowledge of casting processes, performer recruitment, and entertainment industry practices.
Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
Ability to build relationships with performers, agents, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
Travel: 25-50% with non-shipboard travel likely
Work Conditions:Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Physical Demands: Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, or operations.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays.
