The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of receiving, warehousing, distribution, and related inventory operations at one or more Carnival Corporation owned and operated global destination. This role manages the inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. The Inventory Manager evaluates materials and supply levels to improve inventory control procedures, anticipate potential shortages, and address inventory issues proactively. Additionally, the Inventory Manager ensures that all inventory items are properly identified, organized, and readily accessible according to the site’s inventory cycle. The role includes supervising inventory control staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring that all warehousing, handling, and shipping procedures comply with company policies, regulations, and legislative requirements, while optimizing operational efficiency.
1. Operation & Team Management
- Direct activities involved in receipt, inspection, ticketing, order picking, and storage of warehouse merchandise
- Arrange clearance of merchandise and return of damaged or mis-shipped items to vendors
- Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency
- Monitor demand and analyze data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs
- Develop business relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other partners
- Oversee data and use of all inventory software
- Establish cycle counting and reconciliation procedures to meet company and audit requirements
- Oversee scheduling, performance, and evaluation of inventory/warehouse team
- Plan and schedule work assignments, arrange equipment and personnel
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of new inventory employees
- Stay updated on professional knowledge through continuous self-development
2. Compliance & Quality Control
- Develop, communicate, and ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas, providing recommendations for repair or replacement
- Develop strategies to reduce costs and improve supply chain logistics
- Lead receiving processes in training and assist in action plans to improve performance
- Implement procedural changes to improve overall operational efficiency
- Enforce environmental policies and procedures
- Perform any other duties assigned by General/Assistant General Manager
3. Reporting & Data Analysis
- Analyze inventory reports, including stock levels, usage rates, and trends
- Develop action steps based on inventory data to improve inventory management practices
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare reports for management regarding inventory performance, discrepancies, and corrective actions
4. Maintenance & Operational Support
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of inventory and warehouse equipment
- Ensure proper storage, organization, and accessibility of all inventory items
- Recommend and coordinate repairs, replacements, and improvements for warehouse systems
- Support smooth workflow and operational continuity across all inventory processes
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in inventory management or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in a hospitality or resort environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, techniques, and systems.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

- Inventory software knowledge
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Warehouse, purchasing, basic accounting and inventory control skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with employees and guests.
- Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers, and co-workers.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous work experience preferred.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- The role may require standing for extended periods, walking, and occasional lifting of moderate objects.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with varying conditions, including exposure to warehouse or storage areas.
- Fast-paced and dynamic work environment with frequent interaction with staff, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
