We’re looking for an amazing Transportation professional to fill this role, which is based in our Denali office.  You’ll be helping to supervise all transportation operations and supervise a team of seasonal employees including commercial drivers.

What You Will Do:

  • Assists in managing Transportation staff and activities to meet guests’ satisfaction. 
  • Supports annual Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training for new and our returning drivers to help prepare them to earn a CDL license. 
  • Applies knowledge of Federal transportation regulations and laws, Company products, policies, and procedures to all tasks. 
  • Supports, monitors and manages route updates, changes Driver assignments and employee relations.
  • Prepares driver-guides schedules and monitors the operations.
  • Performs “Manager on Duty” responsibilities.
  • Participates in Transportation departmental interviewing, selection and training.
  • Responsible for the supervision, performance management, salary administration, and coaching of directly assigned personnel.

What Will Be Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent certification is required. 
  • This job normally requires a professional level of knowledge in transportation services or operations equivalent to that which would be acquired through the completion of an associate degree. Demonstrated of directly related work experience, may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.
  • Supervisory experience in a business environment is required.
  • Current, valid driver’s license with 3 years clean driving record. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be requested.
  • You must have a valid class B Commercial Driver’s License. Passenger endorsement and airbrakes is required. (May be obtained through our Company paid training program).
  • Minimum age of 21 years of age is required to operate a commercial vehicle.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and you will be included in our company’s randomized drug testing program.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

What You Know, What You Can Do, and How You Do It:

  • Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized reservations systems, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. You must also be able to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, supervise and manage staff. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees, management, and customers.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
  • Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate, coordinate and collaborate across multiple locations and divisions, multiple departments, management, and staff. 
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
  • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
