Job Description

CSMART is currently looking for an Independent Engineering Consultant with a LNG background for our Technical Department for delivering training content at various times through the year.  

The Consultant must be registered already as a legal entity in the form where he/she is a supplier to CSMART. The Consultant must have experience with a particular focus on LNG operations and regulations with primary focus on LNG used as fuel. Understanding of current and emerging technologies and procedures and able to apply those by means of training and simulations. The role of the Consultant is to expand the skill set of the CSMART team members and suit the training needs of the organization.  The role focuses on training provided to cruise ship officers. As a ​Consultant on a Professional Service Agreement​, you are contributing by bringing your skills and knowledge to the training center and sharing this with the training department staff members, based on your availability  

Specifically, you will be:

• Sharing professional experience in the field of Maritime Engineering particularly in the Cruise ship branch and in connection with LNG as fuel
• Liaising with Course Administration and other instructors to ensure everything is running smooth prior, during and after course ends
• Checking status of training programs self-study tasks and prepare to give feedback
• Conducting onsite / online appraisals and course evaluations
• Handing out certificates and/or following the underperforming participant process 

Requirements & Experience

• Served as Chief Engineer / Staff Chief Engineer / Senior First Engineer or First Engineer
• Natural passion to develop others
• Experienced with multi-cultural team environments and/or Consulting on individual assignments
• Analytical and structured thinker
• Open, conscious and engaged  
• Must be engaged in a Consultancy or have the credentials to do so
